I have always loved helping people and making them smile. I was able to fulfill the jobs I had as my career but never myself. In addition to many other hobbies, I started making cupcakes as for family functions because they were easy to make. I did this a few times and received pretty good feedback time after time and soon I started getting requests for cupcakes for various occasions. I even made cupcakes a few times for potlucks and work gatherings and again I received positive feedback. This resulted in coworkers asking what I would charge to make cupcakes for them. I still looked at baking as just another hobby I could do. I was encouraged to keep baking and as I did it more frequently I found that I really enjoyed sharing my baked goods.

I truly began to understand how my grandmother made people feel. My grandmother baked as well and it amazed me how she brought happiness to anyone that ate her food. I remember people always asking what she baked today. I know she loved baking and I admired her skills and ability to pour love into anything she baked. Her ability to do that inspired me to try to bring a similar happiness to people and to get that same admiration that my grandmother did.

Baking is not what I set out to do as a career. I honestly love the satisfaction of baking and the joy the desserts bring people when they receive them. Baking allows me to be creative while experimenting with flavors and decorative designs. In 2018, I decided to give it a go and Kimm Kakery was born.
